Summer Skin



With the oppressive southern heat still in full effect, it has become difficult for me to wear anything besides breezy, lightweight dresses like the one below. I did manage to thrown on a short-sleeved cardigan and some booties for a while this past weekend during an overcast morning, which was a welcome change. The only down side of the gray skies was that they served to solidify my desire to trade out summer for crisp autumn air and brightly colored tights.

    3. I totally feel the same way lately...the heat is taking a toll even up here in the northeast and an brisk breeze has me dreaming of fall and flats, skinny jeans, tights and cardigans.

    Wow, you look amazing. First of all, how do you not have frizzy hair in the brutal southeastern heat? I have worn my hair down once this summer, and it didn't go well. The outfit is perfect.

    Okay so I can't decide what's cuter--the dress, the booties, the bag . . . it's all amazing! I loooove those bold autumny colors. In San Francisco, it's pretty much perfect weather all year round--sunny and breezy and brisk during the day, a little chilly at night--so I wear cardigans every single day. Today I even have on a scarf and moccasins!

    I pretty much am in love with every little piece of your outfit! Plus that beautiful bag! And is that your driveway? Goodness, how much more in love could I be?

    Today is the warmest day I've experienced in a while, and I still have almost knee-high boots, wool tights, a skirt, and an oversized sweater. But I must say, I'm warm wearing all these clothes. So... that's good :)
