That's how someone once referred to my bestie's ever-polished wardrobe. Not too overdone, but definitely not understated. A perfect mix of trendy and chic. That's how I like to think of accessories, as the final touch on an outfit that takes it from a nine to a ten.

When it comes to necklaces, I tend toward statement pieces with lots of color and/or texture. One of my favorite places to find interesting jewelry is Ann Taylor Loft, so I am giving away this Loft necklace to one of you! I adore the different shades of pink beads and the simple silver links. This piece would dress up a jeans & tee look or add the finishing touch to a dress quite nicely.

I'm a loyal follower of Hiking in Stilettos (I adore your pictures!) and my heart skipped a beat when I saw this giveaway: I've been on a search for for a few weeks looking for a lilac, lavender, light purple nail polish shade! OPI hasn't satisfied me yet and I've been searching to locate an Essie retailer! All 3 shades are perfect for spring/summer! My favorite spring/summer pastime involves the following: iced tea, hot temps but with a light breeze, a swinging bench on my porch at home, flowers in bloom, my puppies at my feet and friends and family sitting all together. The grill is on, and I've husked some corn on the cob and we have strawberry shortcake prepped for dessert.

Lounging outside at dusk in the spring & summer is absolute perfection : )


i couldn't agree more with her favorite warm weather pastime. there is just something so wonderful about eating outdoors, hammocks and porch swings, and strawberry shortcake!

one of my small indulgences is painting my fingernails and toenails. it's an inexpensive way to add a bit of color to an outfit, pull together a polished look, or just feel completely girly and fun. i have been a fan of essie polish for quite a long time. i can always find exactly the shade i am looking for, and i don't have to settle for something with tons of shimmer. sparkle and iridescence has its place {sometimes on my toes}, but i am really more of a matte polish girl. i tend toward colors without shimmer, and i can always find something on point with essie.

so in honor of warm spring weather & unabashed girliness, i am very excited to announce the first ever hiking in stilettos giveaway!
i am giving away three of my favorite essie polishes from the new spring colors:

van d'go {a pale nude/pink}, lilacism {a fun pastel purple}, and watermelon {a punchy pink, not a new color, but a favorite of mine!}
